Priority: medium Bug ID: 77548 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: FILEOPEN: Calc adds zeros to header/footer when opening XLS spreadsheet with h/f Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Mac OS X (All) Reporter: hsones...@gmail.com Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: unspecified Component: filters and storage Product: LibreOffice Created attachment 97485 --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=97485&action=edit Spreadsheet with custom footer When opening an .XLS spreadsheet containing customized text in header or footer in Calc, six zeros are added before each portion of text. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create spreadsheet in Excel (I'm using Excel for Mac 2011). 2. Add a header or footer with custom text (the problem doesn't occur when using the predefined headers and footers) 3. Save file as XLS (the problem doesn' occur when saving as XLSX) 4. Open file in Calc 5. Go to Format->Page->Header (or Footer)-> Edit 6. Observe the six zeros before the text Other observations: -When you've opened the file with Calc and save it, the zeros also appear when opening the document in Excel. -If you delete the zeros, after having opened the file in Calc and then save it, the zeros doesn't appear when opening in Excel. I've only tested with Excel for Mac 2011 (14.0.0). The problem occurs in both 4.2.3 and current master (4.3.0.0.alpha0). I'm running OS X 10.9.1 I've attached a freshly produced spreadsheet, created in Excel for Mac 2011, with a predefined header and a custom footer. When opened in Excel the text in the footer is "Left" in the left section, "Middle" in the middle section, and "Right" in the right section. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
