Yes, thank you, that was the problem. I've never changed that and the recent
upgrade must have set it as a default. Thank you very much for your help and I

When you stay in calc go to in the "menu Bar-Tools-Cell Contents" and select
automatic calculation here.

I'm sorry, I don't know what this means: "do you select by menu/extra/cell
contents/automtic calculation". Are you referring to an option or a
configuration setting?
