In the meanwhile, I have also updated my software to L.O. 4.2.4.2 and therefore
I am also unable to save in the .sxc format. The same spreadsheet saved in
.ods format does not produce the bug on my system eit

Oops sorry, I missed that it occurs in Linux. And bug 59850 is Windows
specific.
