Bug ID: 93252 Summary: Change bars do not always appear when changes are made Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.0.0.5 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: dgt...@yahoo.com Created attachment 117755 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=117755&action=edit Sample file demonstrating change bar failure When I make changes in a document by selecting a location or a sequence of characters and then typing new text, a change bar does not always appear in the margin. I have Record Changes and Show Changes turned on, so I can see that LO is aware that I have made changes. In all cases, using Undo to back out one of the changes in a line results in the change bar appearing correctly. Saving the file while there are missing change bars and exiting LO, then restarting LO and reloading the file results in correct display of the change bars. In the attached file, Vaccines.odt, I can change the second line to end with "(10 year intervals)" by using the mouse to select "every " and deleting the selection, then using the mouse to select the "s" and typing " intervals" and no change bar appears. If I then use Undo to partially remove the changes, the change bar appears in the left margin. (Selecting "Manage Changes..." from the Track Changes menu also causes the change bar to appear correctly. However, just having the Manage Changes dialogue open or using its functions does not correct the problem; it is only opening the dialogue that corrects missing change bars.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
