Bug ID: 93691 Summary: "Update external links" does not update cells containing dates and times Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.4.5.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: helpdesk@national.shitposting.agency Created attachment 118207 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=118207&action=edit zip archive containing two .ods files Overview: It is possible to reference cells in another document. When opening a file that contains such references they can be manually or automatically updated. However, in my case updating only works for simple text data, and silently fails for things like dates and times. Steps to Reproduce: 1) Create two empty ODS files. 2) In file A, add references to a couple of cells from file B. Save & close. 3) Open file B, change the content of those cells in file B - fill them with strings, numbers, dates and times. Save. 4) Open file A again. You will be asked if external files should be updated (depending on your settings). Afterwards, all fields will show the correct values. Save & close. 5) Go back to file B, change the content, save. 6) Open file A again. Only simple text and numbers will be updated, but not dates and times. Those are still the old values. Actual Results: Fields with date and time keep their old, outdated values. Expected Results: Everything should be updated. The attachment contains two files that were produced after step 4), with A = test-references.ods and B = test-data.ods. (You will have to fix the paths if you don't store them in D:\) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
