Hi all, In the last QA Meeting we chatted briefly about the case of bugs that have been fixed in master (or Fresh) but still exist in Fresh or Still: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=79289
There's a whiteboard tag that (kind of?) relates to this problem, but appears to have a much smaller scope: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Bugzilla/Fields/Whiteboard/Advanced#fixedInMaster After chatting with the devs to gauge their opinions, we got some basic feedback: * Once a bug is fixed in master, it's considered fixed * Use bibisect to identify which commit fixed a problem * Devs more willing to backport small commits & easy cases * Anyone can push a backport to gerrit * Let the original dev know about the desire to backport I've made a short note about backporting here, under the documentation for the sub-status 'WORKSFORME': https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Bugzilla/Fields/Status/RESOLVED#Fixed_in_a_newer_version Feedback would be greatly appreciated!
