In our office, we have hundreds of documents we access and they are frequently
located on different volumes on the network. For us, a huge benefit that MS
Office has is that the recent list from the file menu

Agree with Jay there is no problem with the duplication of controls on the
menus. There are similar duplication for display or rulers, scroll bars,
comments, etc. going to remove those as well?

View options are in Tools. Also in Tools you can set on/of and more details.

What’s NEEDINFO about this? The gap is obvious.
FTR, it’s caused by the standard 6-px padding applied to all widgets. It’s
bothered me since we migrated to Glade, but haven’t found a way to fix it yet
