It will shut down monitor and HD frequently during breaks, so usually it is enough for one workday. WinNT and Win2000 have features included like Waterfall or Rain, which saves enery on CPU-idle. I have configured HD-timout, screen-timeout and suspend-timeout. And usually I do not use full brightness and full processor speed during running on battery.
