No wonder that it didn't work on Unixware; someone changed the config.guess tuple under us. With the attached patch I get 2 of 78 tests failed on i586-sco-sysv5uw7.1.1 (UDK 7.1.1b) (Recall before 20 of 83 failed.) The failures are depdemo-make.test:
