I made a little screencast about creating a sample "lift-archetype-basic" application. I hadn't made a screencast before, and it was actually trickier than I thought it'd be. It's challenging to read from a script and work at the terminal at the same time.
It's mostly about installing Maven, and if you've ever built a sample Lift app you won't get anything out of it, but perhaps absolute beginners will find it helpful: http://www.vimeo.com/2461367 I envision 3 parts, and started with part II.
