If Jan could build a new guile we could try it. I wasn't able to build
guile on cygwin.

BTW, does lilypond CVS compile on cygwin again? I mean, are these
guile crashes fixed yet?

I was going to ask if it looked ok to have multiple templates per page
-- ie
under the Single staff page, have
melody
melody with lyrics
melody with chords
melody with lyrics and chords
Then under the piano music page, I'd have
solo piano
solo instrument and piano accompaniment
looks
OK, I'm trying.
Thx,

I would like to implement a general solution for a new symbol: in
keyboard music the lines that shows that something written in the lower

difficult to implement it as an engraver. However, I don't know how to

I did, it must be 2.3.1 or 2.3.2 when this appeared.
I'm not sure, because 2.3.1 crashes at an other place (some Win32
errors). But from 2.3.2 this error appears in all releases I tried.

2.3.0 was the last one that I could build on Cygwin.
2.3.1 has a sigsegv, other than the sigsegv in 2.3.2-11 (see my previous
mails), but I couldn't find it out, because gdb has a problem with it.
From 2.3.2 there is a constant sigsegv. Any ideas?
2.3.2:

I'm trying to build lilypond-2.2.5 When the documentation is being built
lilypond builds an erroneous file. But when invoking the new binary
using the command

/netrel/build/lilypond-2.2.5/lily/out/lilypond-bin.exe
Debugging:
$ gdb -nw /netrel/build/lilypond-2.3.11/lily/out/lilypond
(gdb) run -e /netrel/src/lilypond-2.3.11/ly/generate-documentation
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
0x1003c1a2 in scm_mark_subr_table () from /usr/bin/cygguile-12.dll
(gdb) bt

I tried to make the package. I get a Signal 11 when running the command:
cd /netrel/build/lilypond-2.3.4//Documentation/user/out
/netrel/build/lilyp
ond-2.3.4/lily/out/lilypond-bin --verbose
/netrel/src/lilypond-2.3.4/ly/generate
-documentation
lilypond_datadir: `/usr/share/lilypond'
Tried to build 2.3.1 once, but not succeed. I will try it again (perhaps
tomorrow).

I've found a strange thing (looks like a cygwin issue, because it is
corrected in the snapshot):
When double-clicking it gives an error message (unable to remap some
DLL).
But when I changed lily-wins to a sh script containing:
#!/bin/sh
python /bin/lily-wins.py $1
it worked.
So I changed it in
Possibly, I think you should asking the Cygwin list?
I got an answer:
It's an unresolved issue that needs someone to help with tracking it down.
If you're so inclined, build a debug version of the Cygwin DLL and check
it out.
Perhaps some time I will do this. In these days I have very few

I have also misinterpreted the name Program Reference as

1. If you type 'mknetrel' you can see there is an option '-o'
2. You can start over with mknetrel -C
Type 'mknetrel' for more options.
Being the maintainer of the cygwin package I'm planning to make a new

My first thought was that hyphens at end of staff lines should never
disappear, even if there is not enough space. I consider this more important
because it is more frequent, and it is better to have the hyphen a bit
extended beyond the bar line than to have no hyphen at all.

I have fixed this.
Great, thanks!
I've added the possibility of preventing hyphen removal in CVS. Note
that with default settings for spacing lyrics, hyphens won't be
removed in mid-line anyway.
That's great, too. Now one more thing in LilyPond which beats all other
notation software.
Hello,
I played a bit with lyric hyphens.
1. First I found that with latin1-encoded accented characters calculating
the bounding box is not totally exact.
Try and \O\U\O\U as a syllable and compare.
2. In lily/hyphen-spanner.cc the following can be found:

May I ask to have some files brought to the 2.1 branch from 2.0? They are
needed for building on cygwin.
Namely:

cygwin\lily-wins.py
cygwin\mknetrel
cygwin\mknetrel.split
cygwin\README.in
stepmake\stepmake\topdocs-target.make

Yes, that's an interesting question.
Hmm, just a quick guess: are you perchance using text mounts?
No.
'include':
