Jonas,
My experience for my specific scenario with 2.23.6 is quite bad: it appears to
have broken PNG transparency (Mac OS 11.6.3 on Intel Mac (MacBook Pro Late 2013
and Mac Pro 2013).
Creating PNG images with transparency ‘white on transparent’ (for the purpose

Hi Guy,
When you would do what you should always do for these cases (when running into
syntax errors when changing from an older version of lilypond to the current) -

Daniel,
Elysium is a third party tool integrating lilypond (the tool whose -dev
maillist you've sent your mail to) and the Eclipse IDE.
Your best bets for getting it working would be Elysium's User Community (a
Google group) and Elysium github issues.

I would like to try building a mac binary (using GUB’s cross platform building
capabilities) with the current ghostscript (a version has long been released
that is supposed to fix the PNG transparency issue that I ran into for Lilypond
2.19.55 and up). However I can’t seem to get a proper GUB

Anyone a clue what the root-cause of this error can be? It would seem to me as
a conflict between libz.so as compiled by GUB and the python on LilyDev….. but

Hello developers,
another topic in my quest for building a minimal dockerized GUB. A first look
on the following error message makes me suspect that GUB’s package dependency
management is somewhat broken. The error was obtained by trying to run a make
lilypond in a succesfully bootstrapped GUB
