Yep, it sucks. That's why I've been trying to get all the syntax
changes done for the past month.
The syntax changes are easy - I simply copy the new file
from git to my current Lily installation. The real

I cannot compile the docs locally as the LSR snippets were updated to
require 2.11.55 earlier today, but the latest release available is
2.11.54-1. Means I can't check my doc changes, which is a pain.

1) Change any 2.11.55 to 2.11.54.
2) Comment out any syntax changes (ie \ottava)
3) Make sure you don't accidentally commit any of those changes.

Feel free to merge the release/2.11.54-1 tag into master yourself.
I've merged; hopefully it's OK.
If there's not going to be a 2.11.54-2 release, I'll have to do
another version bump though.

I see there's been a new release in the form of 2.11.54, but there's
no version bump in master. What's the best course of action to remedy
this, bearing in mind that the ottava bracket syntax change now
requires a convert rule for version 2.11.55?
