i have been informed by a colleague that kdvi under KDE also supports point and click with emacs. he was using it with normal LaTeX files, but i assume it will also work with lilypond. the exact procedure for activating this mechanism in kdvi is documented in the help-files for kdvi. greetings,

I had indeed been using the -P param. with ly2dvi, and that would give me the errors (see earlier postings). I'll try what you suggest when I get home. For now I shall occupy myself with working on the .ly file, now that I know I'll be able to get what I want! :-) Thanks for your input, --Mark
