Need help to my problem...
I installed Lilypond 1.6.5-1 from rpm on RedHat Linux 8.0, and it works
well.
The other day, I found the Lilypond 1.6.6-1 rpm from
http://www-ccrma.stanford.edu/planetccrma/software/soundapps.html#lilypond
, so I rpm -Uvh, but it goes differently; the font is not
Never mind the problem below; it was just a bug in my input file.

Another odd warning I got was this:
Calculating line breaks... programming error: No StaffSpacing wishes found
(Continuing; cross thumbs)
It didn't seem to cause any problems. What does this mean, and how do I
fix
That's because the fonts have changed.
You must clean the fonts (they are build when LaTeX need them and then
cached ; you must clean the cache...)
See /buildscripts/clean-fonts.sh in lilypond src directory...

Quick question: is there a way to force lilypond to make all the bars on a
single line equally wide? I realize that this isn't usually the right
thing to do for a finished score, but I'm using it to write partial scores
that I will fill in later at the keyboard, and it's more logical to not

Excellent! That's done the trick. Many thanks.
A follow up question: Where is this documented? (in other words, what piece
of information or web site or mail list have I overlooked?)
it's not. Thanks for the pointer.

It doesn't and it's an age-old

Hello,
I want to insert some skips in the chords displayed on top of the score.
Apparently the rests no longer work, I am getting an error:

So what should I use ? I.e. what is the equivalent of _ in lyrics ?

What I'm facing now is trivial, but annoying. In the
verseNotes section, towards the end (3rd measure from
the end), I have a tie between two notes (the b-flat
and g). For some reason this is not showing up in the
output. I've tried commenting out these three lines:

Kev,
Doh! I feel stupid. Thanks for the help. That works

Hello!
I'm trying to get the lyrics in this piece of music
numbered. How do I properly go about this. I can get
the first stanza (verse) numbered, but if I uncomment
out the lines to number 2 and 3, I run into all kinds
of trouble. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks!

This is what I use in my \score blocks:
Kev,
Thanks! That did it. Here's what I ended up with.
Do you have any idea how I can put the stanza numbers
at the beginning of each line? This piece is a little
hard to follow without them there.
Thanks a million!

Sorry for such a mundane question; All I want is to print

but lilypond has me buffaloed.
