i'd like that, as i am arranging full orchestral and bigband scores.
Its quite hard to arrange horizontal scores for now, so i write
to paper manually first before i typeset in lilypond. Your tool could
ease my life.
(with horizontal i mean thinking of chords spanning all instruments
instead

Hi everybody!
I've typeset the beggining of the 1st mvt of the 2nd Rachmaninov piano concerto.
I'd like to listen to it with a midi player, but there are some problems with
the instrumentation...
Acutually there are more than 16 tracks. The problem is that the midi output
sets one channel per trac

lilypond-1.8.1 is available for Cygwin, in the TEST/Experimental
distribution. Tetex has also been updated in the Cygwin TEST
distribution. This should fix a number of problems reported lately.

Try something like
\property Score.BarNumber \override #'padding = #3
Of course, this should be done automatically when you have
brackets or braces connecting the staves, but at the moment
you have to do it manually.

If you are not that familiar to UNIX, you could for example do:
- Start the Cygwin command window
- Run the command: "cp /bin/bash /bin/sh"
- Close the command window with "exit"

I have had no joy under Mandrake. Below is the error I get prefixed with the
output of a locate command. The RPM was taken from Thac's RPMS who says that
he rebuilt guile from Mandrake cooker. Since I don't have a file with the name
