Hello,
I am trying to set the width of the lines of music that Lilypond
produces. I am sure that this has worked for me in previous versions but now
it seems to have no effect. The manual says:
"The most basic settings influencing the spacing are 'indent' and
'linewidth'. They are set in the
Sorry about that, I sent to the wrong address. I'm testing something on
my local machine.

Hi,
I just made for my daughter a template for a choirstaff
with 4 separate stafs (one for each voice (SATB), )
accompanied by a pianostaff with four voices (2 voices
on the upper staff and 2 voices on the lower staff).
I made such a template for others as well, so I thought
it might be a good

Hello,
If there is a markup text like this c_\markup { \column < 1 2 3 > } the
lyrics below the staff is moved down. But the markup is after the lyrics. So
I don't want the lyrics to be moved downwards. How to achieve this, i.e.
ignore the markup when calculating the distance of the lyrics line?
Can someone tell me the magic for putting a mensural F clef on the
third line in 2.0? The example of specifying an ancient clef in
input/test (mensural-ligatures.ly) doesn't work (the clefs come out as
normal treble clefs).
Thanks,

Hello, all:
I know that you can globally set the space between staves in a
StaffGroup by setting minimumVerticalExtent in a Staff context.
However, I'm looking for some way to temporarily override
minimumVerticalExtent _after_ having set it globally in the \score
block. Something like "\overrid
Some pieces in Bach's Musikalishes Opfer's is written originally using

Hi
I guess this piece might be interesting to figure out how to typeset. I'm not
sure what you call it, my violin teacher used to call it mozart's table music, sort of
you can play the music if you read it 1 way, and turn the page around, and you can
play it another way. (I remember rea
Thanks Ralph,
This seems very logical to me, and I have doing it this way since.
As for the dicussion referenced, not knowingly I have been using this already. all my
files include a standard header and then the parts add in their part of the header.
Cheers,
Joshua

Thanks Eric,
I am not that sure of how to use the melismata, so I prefer the 2nd method too, partly
because the 1st method might not work with multi-stanza verses too.
So it worked! except some notes seems to shift its alignment, i guess with the \skip
affecting them.
Thanks,
Joshua
