It usually means that you have several voices of music in the same
Voice context, i.e. that you have written something like
{c d e f} {c2 c }. If this is the case, I recommend to use separate
Voice contexts for each of the voices of music and use \voiceOne and
\voiceTwo (which, among others

- run the command 'texhash' to update the filename database for TeX

I forgot to mention that the reason for the failure was an incomplete
texinfo
I guess that the PDF file you get doesn't look too good, at least not
on screen, since it will contain bitmap fonts instead of vector fonts.
What LilyPond does internally, is to call dvips with the following
flags:
dvips -Ppdf -u+lilypond -u+ec-mftrace filename.dvi
What happens when you try this
Run convert-ly on one of your old files to learn about the changes
in the syntax. You could also read the NEWS.txt file.

Since combinaison of dot and line whith line closer to the notehead seems used,
but less than the oposite, may I propose that the notation -_ -.-- should be
reversed ? ( -_ for the most common case (the dot closer to the notehead), and
-.-- for the line near the notehead).
Sorry, I didn't really read the question and though it was about
the extra naturals before accidentals.
Searching the mailing list archives it turns out that
printKeyCancellation was introduced around version 2.1.34, so
the best solution for James is to upgrade to 2.2 or even the
new stable
