From Ville's printouts, it seems that lilypond crashes in the middle of the processing, but lilypond -V test.ly should reveal more details. The current support for figured bass is fairly primitive. However, one feature that's not described in the manual is that you can also include any text strings by enclosing them in double quotes, for example <"+" 7> Unfortunately, I don't see any good support for the +6, since if you use "+6", then

Thanks for the answer. It was because of the attachments that I didn't send immediately to the list. Using lilypond-snapshot normally gives no problems whatsoever, but I have now noticed that also the 26pt under lilypond-book also gives the same strange output. I'll file a bug report. Greeting
