Hi list.
Working on lily 2.4 win XP.
I have a full score splitted like this :
\include bI0X.ly
\include bII0X.ly
\include bc0X.ly
\score {
\context Staff =basseI \basseI
\context Staff =basseII \basseII
\context Staff =bassec \bc
\layout

When I run lily, I only get one midi file, corresponding to the last score

How can I get a full midi file, or at least 4 midi files ?
Regards.
This is a well-known bug which has been fixed in the latest development
version (2.5.20).

Why don't you simply insert a \break where you want the page break and
set
\paper{
raggedlastbottom = ##f
}
so that LilyPond automatically spreads the systems over the available
space?

In principle, lilypond-book does not put any limitations on
where in your LaTeX document you put your music. However, when
trying the obvious
\section{\lilypond[fragment]{c d e f}}
latex will complain, probably there are some limitations in LaTeX on
what can go into the argument of \section{...}.
Hi,
I am trying to replace a \tempo, which is too big and apears on top of
the first note, instead of more to the left, with a text markup.
The note in the markup is too big: I tried to change its size with
magnify which did not work :(
Is there a workaround?
Cheers,
Ron
If you provide an example, it's much easier to provide a
relevant answer.

You are right there are restrictions on what can go in a section header
which is why I said in a previous e-mail that this \section and
\subsection etc macros might need to be re-defined.
Your solution does not work for a multi-line score because you don't
want all the lines in the same savebox.

Try something like
c ^\markup { \small { \note #4 #1 =108 }}
if you want the size change to apply to both the note and the
text.

When I try to install Ghostscript 8.15 in order to upgrade Lilypond to

Thanks.

Hi!
I often use lilypond (2.4.2) to produce chord sheets (i. e. no actual
staff, only chords, barlines and repeats), as described in the manual
(see below). However, I have not managed to add time signatures to the
notation.
Just adding \consists Timing_engraver to the \with block doesn't work
Why not try to add the Time_signature_engraver instead, that's
the one that typesets the time signature.

I am making a jazz lead sheet and I have two questions.
1) I need the treble clef and key signature to be printed at the beginning
of the first line, and then never again on subsequent lines. I tried making
the treble clefs on these lines invisible, but it left too much blank staff
space on
Ron -
For precise control, you can use
c^\markup { \fontsize #-6.0 \note #4 #1 =108 }
or
c^\markup { \fontsize #-6.0 { \note #4 #1 =108 }}
\magnify #m has been changed to \fontsize #f, where
f = 8.65617 ln(m)
I.e.:
\magnify #2.0 becomes \fontsize #6.0,
\magnify #1.0 becomes \fontsize #0.0,
\break and \pagebreak only work in the middle of a score, if you
want to manual specify a page break between two scores, then you
need a recent version of 2.5.xx, where you can set
breakbefore = ##t
in the \header{...} field.

People have asked in the past for the ability to enter
notes without having to put in the chromatic signs
specified in the key signature. This sed filter
does that plus a few other things optionally.
I found it quite useful in doing my Alegrias for Rose
which is in E major. Here it is. daveA:
