Using the autopackage 2.7.6, in a Debian environment.
I'm trying to create alternative repeats that start and end inside of
measures, such as:
\version "2.7.6"
\score{
\relative c'' {
\repeat volta 2 {
\time 6/8
\partial 8
c8
c4. c4.
}
\alternative {

Is is possible to tweak spanners by adjusting the endpoints
individually? For example, if I have a glissando from
bes to b, it gets obscured by the staff line. I'm looking for something like
\once \override Glissando #'endpoint1-extra-offset = #'(0 . 1)
The same question applies to hairpins; I
Hi all,
I'm maintaining a listing for Mac LilyPond on VersionTracker. The
idea was to only list stable versions on that site, but somebody
keeps on submitting development (2.7.x) versions.
If whoever is making these submissions is on the list, could you
please stop? I've been unsuccessful

Thanks exactly what I wanted and btw one of the best
written docs you have done, clear and to the point.

Jay, I'm afraid you're beyond my capabilities here -- hopefully the list
can answer the question. Glad I was able to help even in a small way.

See the "vertical spacing" in the most recent version of the 2.7 manual;
I added an example that does exactly what you want.

I realize there are tweaks galore but I would like a
simple way to place ornaments between notes if that is
at all possible.
Like this?

Hi:
Lilypond 2.7.9 in Fedora Core 4 now produces decent midi output
except that it doesn't assign the instrument patch name in
Staff.midiInstrument.
If I put something like this:
...
\set Staff.midiInstrument = "acoustic guitar (nylon)"
...
The output will have a piano patch assigned to it i
from my local linux group and then run in that
directory
fc-cache

Han-Wen and Fr. Gilbert and all.
Correcting the [ to { and sice to size now gives me an error log -whew!
but it doesn't like this bit.
And I look at the manual and have fiddled with the parts and can't seem
to get it right.
So is the problem before this even though the complaint is either about
Hi all,
I know this has been asked many times before but this
is a case of not searching for the right term in
google.
But what I am looking for is a simple way to adjust
ornaments so they can appear inbetween notes.

Hi all,
I have a document where one line falls on a second
page.
I tried the following:
I reduced the #(set-global-staff-size 20 ) to
#(set-global-staff-size 18)
but that didn't help.
I tried a noPageBreak before that line but when I
looked at the pdf an additional line ran to the next
page.

Hi!
I'm definitely not an expert on Lilypond syntax and stuff. Mostly I have
used files that look like what I need, and exchange the data needed to
make a different song. But I did catch one thing in your file that might
also be a typo (saw the reply about the [) . Scroll down through your

Thanks

I am still trying to put together a more complicated score of 7
different instruments including piano.
I took and modified the example in Chapter 3 of the manual
I use jedit to work it out.
But, though I get a log file saying

I'm being silly. You need to copy/symlink the .OTF fonts to ~/.fonts.
No update command needed. The svg fonts are for embedding in the svg
output only.
