Thanks to all for the replies,
I still think that lily is fantastic (more: I' m forced to use it
because of the way I compose) but when you have to tweak some
properties it's complicated to access to information.
I'm guessing that my request may be not so uncommon.
Can I suggest to add it to m
Please read at the bottom of the section on "Dynamics" in the manual:
"Vertical positioning of these symbols is handled by
DynamicLineSpanner."
This means that ... should be replaced by DynamicLineSpanner.

Hello,
I'm trying to learn LilyPond, I previously used abcm2ps and abctab2ps, since
Lily combines both, and knows how to print complex cordnames.
I want a B13 chordname, so I try b:13, but that gives me a B9/add13, which may
be correct, but is not what I want.
How do I get a flat sign in front o
hi,
first of all, thank you hans and ly programmers for this feature. it
is fantastic.
however, somehow it isn't working the way i expect.
am i doing something wrong?
did i miss something in the news?

Linda - the reason you got modern notation with a neomensural time
signature was that that was all your score asked for. To get better
ancient-style notation, you need to actually copy and paste the
entire ungainly mass of details from the manual into your blank

Hi!
I've set three melodies for piano, working quite well. But now I've
come to a point where I do not know how to get it working.
I've got three chords, joint by slurs:
{\set doubleSlurs = ##t
( )( )}
Looks well except that in the original score the second upper slur

Ok Mats,
I read it before writing to the list, but it would have help if the
manual provided an example.
I'd like to add a snippet on the topic to LSR, so I don't want to be
imprecise.
If I have:
\version "2.6.4"
{
\once \override Score.DynamicLineSpanner #'padding = #1.5 a'4 \pp

Hi!
I have started to work through the instructions in Vol 36, Issue 67, but
have gone to the web-site, but can't for the life of me find just the
tar.gz file to download. Where the heck is it? Looks like the rest of
the instructions will work just fine, but I need to find the 2.6.4 tar
