bendAfter problems with polyphony (chords and partcombine)

Hello~ I am having problems getting \bendAfter to function correctly when there are multiple notes on the staff. It appears to me that during polyphony (either using the chord structure, or by using /partcombine) that when two notes share a stem, the drop created by /bendAfter is not printed. T

Thanks for the guidance. I've tried adding: \override PaperColumn #'keep-inside-line = ##t \override NonMusicalPaperColumn #'keep-inside-line = ##t and as you say it avoids the problem of text flowing over the edge of the page. However, I am surprised that the default is to allow the overflow
