Hi Carl, No, you are correct that this is not desirable behavior. I made several proposals about how we might fix it, and we finally got to one that is workable, but I haven't made it work yet. OK... thanks for the update. I'll just wait for the patch, and work around it in the meantime.

Hi Lilypond Users I would like to develop some harmonica tablature using Lilypond. What I need is to put a one or two digit number above each note in the standard notation. I would like to have this happen automatically - ie when ever I enter a note in the usual manner the one or two digit number
