Slur offset over articulations: Error or Intentional?

Whenever there is an articulation on the first or last note of a slur the other end is offset by the same amount, whether it has an articulation or not. Is this intentional in the algorithm or a problem? And is there a way to fix it generally (obviously a slur can be adjusted manually one at a t
