I was not convinced because
a) I tried the function around the markup and it did not work
b) this works without the function:
oddFooterMarkup = \markup \fromproperty #'header:composer
But I guess in both cases the fields are filled in the end, but I need
to fill them inside the scheme

Hi Trouten,
By default LilyPond always does that to the last page of a score. To
change that setting, add this line to your \paper block:
ragged-last-bottom = ##f
That should force LilyPond to fill the page.

I still need help. I am not able to get this working. Either it fails
(does not compile) or it does not print the header fields.
This back and forth between LP and Scheme does not help either. I am not
sure if my goal is reachable:

Thank you to MM. Barry, Scott, & Bréfort for your answers. The main
issue was the ragged last bottom. Once I added that line to the \paper
block, the staff spacing problem was solved.

Hello,
Is there a way to set tocItem tags for each bookpart within variables, but hide
the ones that are actually not used? The tocItem function seems to
automatically add to the table of contents whether or not that bookpart is
actually printed.

Post an example of what is not working. The code I sent works fine, but I
