ok, just my guesses...
sometimes, we will just call 4 voice arrangements "SATB music", for soprano,
alto, tenor, and bass.
we might call a pleading, begging prayer "earnest prayer"
we might say "omnipotent God" for the last one.

1. \prall makes the mark i'm after, but i get warnings about "warning:

grob for slur. avoid-slur not set?" it makes my pdf just fine, but can i

2. i want all my crescendos text style. \setTextCresc also works fine, but i
have to set it ever

well,yes, some info might help :) i run lilypond 2.6.3 on a 32 bit studio64
install of linux with kernel 2.6.14. a newer version of lilypond would cause me
