How can I get umlaut a, e and o (and double-s) into the German text of a Bach
cantata? I believe there is a way by using \markup and \char #n, but haven't
discoved how. It didn't work when I tried it using the Manual.

How do you notate double-stopping for string instruments?
The manual doesn't help.
For instance:
bes'8 bes' bes ' | etc
with double-stopping as f''8 f'' f''; or
d' with double stopping as a chord f' <>
Both examples from a Vivaldi Concerto solo part.
I am using \version = "2.6.5"
Thanks,
Michael
How do I now get these 24 files into ONE file so I can print them as a set? I
tried using \book \score commands, but this didn't work ...
\book {
\header {
title = "Major & Minor Scales"
version = "2.6.5"
}
\score {
\header {
piece = "C major" }
etc.,
I don't seem to be able to get the Key Signatures to show on the bar line after
I enter the command - just the Clef, time signature (a default, I belive),and
the notes and accidentals as I've netered them. This even from following the
tutorial instructions.
