I'm trying to create a handout where the note heads are actually letters.
I'm sure I'm not the first one to do this, but I'm having a hard time finding
it. I came across the "Easy play" note heads, but they are too small and I
would prefer it without the actual note heads.

I am also interested in this code, but is it possible to have a "list-ref"
running on 12 rather than 7,
and remove the original alterations?
Do you believe that possible?
