Tried that. Setting \override Staff.VerticalAxisGroup
#'minimum-Y-extent = #'(-3 . 3) to anything lower than -4 . 4 has
absolutely no effect. Something higher does have an effect, though -
which is exactly the opposite to what I want.
Also, what about the font size?

Hello, me again.
Is there a way to get the staves in lilypond to appear closer
together? The default separation seems excessive to me.
Also, since some of the staves I'm working with have lyrics (two
stanzas, one on top of the other), I would like to know if it's
possible to get the first stanza
