Suppressing Staves

I've done a search for ways to suppress staves in an orchestral excerpt should that staff contain nothing but rests for the duration of the current system. The only thing I have found is a reference to: \translator { \RemoveEmptyStaffContext } for which I can find no documentation anywhere. Is
