I installed version 0.2.5 of the program. This program does not run after

Don't stick with notepad! Even though it's not a graphical input, you should
use Lily4Jedit (or some similar editor that has Lilypond compatibility mode).

I would generally agree, as the output of most translators is correct
but barely readable. On the other hand, I hope we'll manage to get the

That's true. Then you have to download and install separately the two

If you install jEdit for the first time, you have to go to
Utilities / Global Options / jEdit-Plugin Manager and press the
button "Update Mirror List". Than chose one of the mirrors and
press "Apply".

Hi all,
What I am doing is not starting from scratch but converting etf2ly and
searching and replacing the wrong notes with the right one.
What would be the easiest is a script that transposes the key.
ie. you input the new key and it automatically searches and replaces.
Does such a script exist
Hi,
What I seem to get is that the conversion want to make all my files into
c major.
The rythem translates perfectly. But the notes not.
I can give an example if anyone thinks it worth the time to play with
etf2ly.
In the mean time I convert and use search and replace to fix the note
names.

HI are you working on patching etf2ly??
Is there a reason that the header is on the bottom??
My druthers would be that etf2ly should be templateable.

be able to specify a template to use to dump the converted etf2ly output

I recently tried etf2ly on a Finale ETF file I got from our conductor,
and while the results are beautiful (and arguably much more so than
the original), they're also definitely wrong. More precisely, notes

OK, I know it's rude of me to follow up to myself, but there's a fix
now. Ugly, but it seems to work for fis minor with at least one

Everything is not great, however.
Whole measure rests disappear (when a stave is silent for a complete
measure). This confuses the timing, giving errors in the pitches when
there's a key change.
hi, I noticed a etf2ly post.
I have a lot of songs to convert from finale etf to ly.
While I realize that this is not top priority and that much of the
problem lies on the etf side, a good convertor would only help the
cause.
So much space is spent on the web page showing how much better lilypond
