Is it possible to use Beam.skip-quanting, but only when no beam touches the staff symbol? I have found a setting that seems to give pretty good results with     \override Stem.details.beamed-minimum-free-lengths = #'(2 2.5 2.5)     \override Beam.damping = 10 However, by default that can

Hi all, in a project with 600+ short scores (mostly single systems) I have an issue with the beam/stem formatting, in so far as the stems tend to be too short when multiple beams are present (at least that's what the commissioners complained about). When looking at the documentation of Beam

HI Yerko, and welcome. Can I make the politest suggestion? People on the list always object when I say how I think things should be done, but this file is illegible and unwieldy, with very, very long lines, making it a really hard slog to help you. A good practice is to have each bar on one line

Well I was earlier trying the \etc method only to realise that it wasn't available for 2.18. Yes indeed it is simpler but the function method gives me more control over what I want to achieve, and even if the \etc had worked on 2.18 I would still want to know how to write a correct music function.
