I'm having terrible problems with partcombine. In the following code
bars 2 and 3 only show the first quarter rest.

I just reported it as a bug. It is surprising we have noticed it before.
The only workaround I can see is to use a spacer rest with grace-note-timing.

I'll define a global definition for that which can be reverted in case
