I'm confused, Staci. Paper and cardboard used to have a separate container at the dump [sorry, I know it's not one but one syllable is so much easier than four, and everyone understands] but more recently, I thought cardboard goes in with the commingled paper, plastics, aluminum, and steel

Hi Susan, Greasy pizza boxes and dirty cardboard is NOT accepted. Clean, empty cardboard IS and it is fine to leave on the tape. This is taken off at the recycling center. The paper/cardboard recycling is at the back of the Transfer station, near the other mix recycling and trash. Please see
