Join us for a tour of the Sleeper McCann House and its beautiful grounds, followed by a leisurely lunch on the harbor! Located on Eastern Point, Beauport is a National Historic Landmark and was the summer home of America's first professional interior designer: Henry Davis Sleeper. Perched on a rock ledge overlooking Gloucester Harbor, Beauport was Sleeper's retreat, backdrop for entertaining, creative canvas, and professional showcase. Eastern Point was an enclave occupied by a noteworthy set of Boston society "Bohemian" artists and intellectuals, including Isabella Stewart Gardner and A. Piatt Andrew, and Beauport was the site of many of their parties. Following the tour is lunch at the Seaport Grille overlooking the harbor. Cost of trip is $40, non-refundable.
