Has anyone had any experience in integrating OCR within Director? I have
looked around and there doesn't seem to be any xtras that offer this
functionality. One option might be to control some third party software via
ActiveX or master apps maybe.
I thought about using the Twain xtra and
Search back (this year) in the DirectL list for generic stub (I don't
have the url at hand), then download the package (source) and you will
see some appropriate coding.

I need to load an external xml-file that includes special characters using
getNetText, but some characters get messed up when loaded into the Shockwave
movie.
For example the character å becomes ä and ö becomes ö.
Is there a way to automatically convert these in Shockwave?
