you'd use something like the DirectMedia Xtra for playback -- and thus have
a Windows-only media Cast -- whereas for Mac you could use QT -- the
Mac-only Cast.

thanks to those who pointed out that distributing QT4 is now illegal. I must
stop writing figuratively, because people do take me literally - when I said
'better than nothing', I actually meant 'extremely good for everything' -
personally I think it's a shame that we have to move on,
