Hi guys,
Unfortunately we're still on D9, and we are unlikely to upgrade at this stage.
Furthermore, there's a fair bit of re-engineering required in order to convert all
text members to Flash sprites.
What we've decided to do is offer a non-Director playback. In our (Director-based)

Hi Daniel,
We've got the problem in the office with Win2000 SP4 and XP SP1 & SP2.
I think the target machines are XP, but I'm not sure (no control over it).
The only time where I've seen it working was on Win2000, where we copied the text from

Hi all,
We've got this project where we have to do localized versions of our
software, one of them accepting Russian, and the other Azeri Latin.
The former works, we are able to copy and paste Russian text and it
works no problem.
The latter doesn't; for those who don't know, Azeri Latin is one o

Hi everybody,
First of all thanks to everyone for replying to my email - this is the first
stepping stone for a big overhaul of all our products, and there's a lot for
me to take in!
Second of all, apologies for not replying to your emails, as per usual

Hi all,
We currently have a few application made with Director MX & INM's V12

As there is more pressure for centralising data (in a cost effective
manner), we need to look at using XML/Web Services for a better
interoperability, whilst keeping the Director front-end.

Hi Rodrigo,
You're probably better off getting rid of these quotes first, e.g.
Repeat with myItem = 1 to mainList.count
mainList[myItem] = value(mainList[myItem])
End repeat
Or something like that.
Then you can do mainList[3][1] = 12

If Windows, I think there's a command-line app you could use (I have to

Hi all,
Does anybody have a problem when using the wheelmouse over the stage in
authoring, i.e. playback stops and Director starts scrolling through the
frames?
It's really annoying, especially when I try to evaluate something like
DirectInteractions (which can use the wheelmouse).
Does anybody

Hi all,
Well I'm having more "let's try a new Director version" fun!
I have been using this OCX for a long time, which allows me to 'talk' to a
set of infrared keypads. Unfortunately, DMX doesn't seem to like it! I have
re-imported the OCX just in case, but it didn't make a difference...

Hey guys,
Quick question: Have any of you tried this product from Sampson Multimedia?
http://www.sampson-multimedia.com/copy-protection.html
We're looking for a solution that can work for both Director and
non-Director products, and allow the use of floating licences (CALs).
Thanks!

Hi all,
I'm sure this question has been around before.
One of our products is using external assets (pictures, audio, video, Flash)
and links to them when opening the course. We are currently protecting them
by encrypting the file, so that it cannot be reused by unlicensed parties.
