I've exported as a hinted movie from QuickTime with optimise hints for
server on, so I presume it's hinted properly.
Any thoughts would be appreciated,

Does anyone know of an xtra that will enable me to records puppetsounds
played in director to a single sound file? I then want to be able to keep
overlaying tracks onto this single audio file (effectively keep bouncing
down the tracks - as in the old audio recording fashion) Ideally I woul

Are you running 8.5.1? This is the only official XP version from what I
gather.
I have also found that it is best to use MacroMix as the sounddevice on XP
rather than the directsound it defaults to which does tend to stutter on the
machines I have tested on.
