Well, I tried SeekOnFailedLanding, but the problem still exists. Here's a
rundown of my latest experiments:

1) It works fine on Windows XP.
2) There appears to be no extensions conflict on my machine causing the
problem -- I pared down to the minimum with no luck.
3) My CD driver is up to date, so that's not the problem (unless later
drivers are incompatible)

I'm having a friend check with OS8.6 today. In the meantime, I suspect there
is an incompatibility with OS9, or at least 9.2, or at least 9.2.2. Does
anyone have any thoughts/information on this possibility?
