Hi, In director you can protect your files by the "Update movie" command. This is known as protecting and after the files are protected they get the extention as .dxr You can also protect the external casts which get the extention as .dcr. The user will have no access to the protected files.

for the video members, you can give a control in the tempo channel so that the playback head does not proceed till the time video has finished playing. In the "frame properties" check 'wait for cue point'. This will play the entire mov file no matter what the span of sprites is. Hope it helps
