If you leave the cast unprotected (a plain .cst file) you can do
this. Probably not in Shockwave, but definitely in a projector. You may
need to use save castlib command.

What is the deal with External Casts and Projectors? I have an external
cast and I can paste through lingo into the external cast during authoring
mode.
