Hello list,

I was wondering...

I have a large image that I have sliced up into 100x100 squares.
When the user scrolls around the image I want to dynamically pull the images
off a server so I only need to need to pull the parts of the image the user
wants to look at rather than the whole image which is rather large.

I have the slices set to a small cast member which is embedded in my
shockwave movie. When the new slice comes into view I change the filename
of it to the linked member (a jpeg) on the server and wait until the
mediaready of the member is true and then I change the sprites membernum.

Anyway my question:
Is there a limit of how many cast members director can be downloading at any
one time, or are is any different behavior between browsers and platforms?

any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance for any help.
