There is just one source of interference: handlers with identical names get
into each others way (ie: lingo just finds the first of them

Sure--you can have as many movie scripts as you want.
It sounds like you might have a duplicate handler--a handler of the same
name in two different scripts.
Or it might be that you have a sprite behavior or cast script intercepting

you could. I have been having trouble with one of my movie scripts ever
since I added another movie script associated with setting cue points. What
should I do? I am really frustrated right now. Any help would be great.
