As some of you may know, last September, I was elected to the Inner West
Council in Sydney.
We currently have our information access policy on exhibition. Also
provided below are links to the NSW GIPA Act Agency requirements and
Charter for Public Participation.
Your thoughts or comments here or via the Your Say inner West link would

Draft Public Access to Information held by Council policy
About the policy
The policy outlines the Council's commitment to promoting openness and
transparency through the release of information held by Council to the
public , in accordance with relevant legislative requirements.
The revised policy includes the following changes:
* Inclusion of an objectives section as part of the new Inner West
Council policy template
* Detailed explanation of how Council information can be accessed
i.e through mandatory proactive release, authorised proactive
release, informal or formal release
* Change to the service standard for informal access to information
requests from 7 to 20 business days
