Hi,
a beginners question again - I am using more and more sun noise as a tool
to optimize the frontends on 6, 3 and 1.2cm. What is the "best" way to do
this with linrad. For now, I just read the main dB scale visually, which is
quite easy to do up to say 0.1 dB. But maybe more intelligent things
Hello Leif, Joe, et al.
I am reposting this using gmane.com.radio.linrad since
my other message did not get through.

Hi Leif et al,
I fail to see the point of the discussion. For now, I haven t
seen anybody stepping up to say Multicast is NOT in the version
of Linux that is running on his or her desktop.

Hello Leif,

Yes. I have not put the network back after the multi-thread change.

Hi folks,
just to let you know I have done the users_hwaredriver.c for
a. the Flash Xtal as an agile Linrad LO (in my case on 4*28
MHz feeding into the ESS TM daughterboard). This can also be
used for the Softrock 7 instead of the on board Xtal.

Hi Christophe,
As for the calibration of flat response I use an HP 8012A pulse
generator. This works perfectly for the Softrock. However for
the Time Machine it seems like no matter how well I ground and
shield there is always LF noise getting into the system...

Hello Leif,
thanks for the premium support on this matter.
Since I played around with it quite a lot,
I con confirm most of your findings already.

battery power works fine.

Hi all,
I have a new question regarding the calibration of linrad using the
above mentioned
devices. I use 28 MHz as my IF. I have successfully performed the image
