Having seen the thread on EUFI and been through that with Ubuntu on my
ThinkPad with Alex Pilon.
My suggestion would be to have a round table discussion on the subject as
it seems to me this boot system is in its very early stages of folks trying
to understand it.

it and that was a mistake on the part of the person who posted and he

The dial up issue was to to with pulse or tone and since the location
in question was an older one with pulse it proved to be a tricky one
to solve.
However ! with JF's help and putting a capital P where the number for
an outside line would go it works just fine in Ubuntu ( I used gnome
ppp

I am fairly new to linux and after trying fedora and being disappointed with

scanning, has different size carriers for the negs.

How about a general discussion on the needs of beginners in Linux

Coming from Windoz my mind is still GUI based and I have noticed on
Ubuntu forums this subject has arisen a couple of times.

I checked and ndiswrapper is installed buy default it seems (Ubuntu 704
distro on the laptop )
