Hi!
We have a crypto accelerator on a z890. We are running a SuSE 8 with
apacheSSL using ibmca. From time to time some of the SSL connections
don't work and we get an error log entry from apache:
OpenSSL: error:140943F2:SSL routines:SSL3_READ_BYTES:sslv3 alert
unexpected message
OpenSSL os 0.9.6
I have since spoken with our TSM server administrator who told me to
try the 5.3 client even though we run a 5.2 server. Again I got
indications that for 64bit installation, you need API, API64 then BA.
That installed fine, now for configuration and testing.

The consumption of the cycles used by HiperSockets is not, to my
knowledge, directly
The message would indicate that you need to install API before API64.

We are looking at setting up a Linux complex on z900 that will have both
Internet connections and
internal only connections. Can a OSA port be shared between Linux hosts that
are in unsecured and
secured environments without compromising security integrity? I.e. would

The instructions for running FTPSERVE are in chapter 9 of the z/VM
