Here is what I did:
1 - I ran this command on each SuSe9 Linux: sysctl -w
kernel.hz_timer=0. This removed them from constantly sitting in Q3;
they popped in and outof Q1 and Q2.
2 - I reduced the size of each linux on the system.
3 - I stopped any Linux instance
I vaguely recall from installing MQ that indeed the license file winds up in
/tmp during the isntallation phase but when all is said and done it is
copied to the required final location. I find it kind of untidy that it didn't
clean up after itself.

Would definitely suggest you run with more than one paging volume ..
Looks like you may be hitting high page limit which affects block
paging.
We run with the following srm settings but aren't currently memory or
paging constrained.

I suspect that this may be because yast is trying to FTP
Can you FTP to the site and directory using the CMS FTP client? Are you
using a relative directory?

of the Linux install documentation says to use a Windows or Linux FTP
server (or SMB server) , but I wanted to try to install from my z/OS file
server.
I don't _know_ what Yast does under the covers to read the
